1:00 PM to 2:00 PM: Trauma-Informed Strategies
2:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Preventing Compassion Fatigue
3:30 PM to 4:30 PM: Challenges and Opportunities in Employment and Career Advancement
4:30-4:45: **BONUS SESSION: Navigating Education Credential Evaluation-- ReEstablish Richmond's Partnership with VCU
Saturday, February 24th, 2024 (All sessions Virtual)
8:30 AM to 9:30 AM: From Co-sponsorship to Private Sponsorship: Innovative Expansion of the US Resettlement Program
9:30 AM to 10:30 AM: Purposeful Play in the Preschool Classroom
11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Components of a Healthy Helping Relationship
12:00 PM to 1:00 PM: Accessing Healthcare for Refugees and Immigrants: Sharing Resources in Medicaid and Refugee Access to Healthcare
All sessions will be recorded + shared with all participants unless stated otherwise. After event costs are covered, all RAIVS proceeds will go to our immigrant-based partner organizations African Community Network, Afghan Association of Central Virginia, and Ukranian Community of Virginia.
New this Year! All participants will receive a digital copy of a RAIVS Resource Digest. This will list all contact information for presenters and resources shared during the summit. In addition, it will have resources and contacts listed for topics that we don't have time to cover during the in-person or virtual sessions.
